Piicazo Ventures LLC ("we", "us", "our") operates the Buni mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you and your child use our App. We are committed to protecting children's privacy and complying with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).

Children's Privacy — Our Core Commitment

Buni is designed for children ages 4–8. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The App is designed to function without requiring any personal data from children.

  • Children can use the App without creating an account (Guest Mode)
  • No names, emails, or personal identifiers are collected from children
  • Photos are processed on our server and immediately deleted — never stored or shared
  • No behavioral tracking, analytics, or advertising of any kind
  • No third-party analytics SDKs are included in the App

Information We Collect

From Children

We collect no personal information from children. The App functions fully in Guest Mode without any data collection. Artwork created by children is stored locally on the device only and is never transmitted to our servers.

From Parents (Optional Account Creation)

If a parent chooses to create an account (behind a parental verification gate), we collect:

  • Email address (for account authentication)
  • First name (optional, for personalization)

Account creation is entirely optional and requires passing a parental verification step. This data is managed by our authentication provider (Clerk) and is never shared with third parties.

How We Handle Photos

When a child takes or selects a photo to create a coloring page:

  1. The photo is sent to our secure server for processing
  2. Our AI transforms the photo into a coloring page
  3. The coloring page is returned to the device
  4. The original photo is immediately deleted from our server
  5. No photos are stored, logged, cached, or used for AI training

EXIF metadata (location, device info) is stripped from photos before they leave the device.

Third-Party Services

The App uses the following services:

  • Google Gemini API — for image processing (photos processed and deleted immediately, paid tier does not use data for training)
  • Clerk — for parent account authentication (optional, parent-only)
  • RevenueCat — for subscription management (anonymous purchase data only)
  • Apple App Store — for app distribution and in-app purchases

None of these services collect data from children. All are used only for their stated purpose.

Advertising

Buni contains zero advertising. We do not display ads, use ad networks, or engage in any form of advertising to children or adults within the App.

In-App Purchases

All in-app purchases are gated behind a parental verification step (a math problem that requires adult-level knowledge). Children cannot make purchases without parental involvement.

Parental Rights

As a parent or guardian, you have the right to:

  • Review any personal information we have collected (for parent accounts only)
  • Request deletion of your account and all associated data
  • Refuse further collection of information
  • Contact us with any questions about our privacy practices

Data Security

We use industry-standard security measures including HTTPS encryption for all data transmission, secure token-based authentication, and encrypted local storage on devices.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of any material changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this policy.
